Defense Application for Grinding

In this application we designed both I.D. Grip and O.D. Grip collet chucks to accomodate this defense related request. The process was grinding both I.D. bores and O.D. diameters. We designed two piece collet chucks for griping the extended length of the part.

Aerospace Application for Vertical Turning

We received a request from an aerospace manufacturer, that required a workholding solution for a vertical turning application. We designed this I.D. Grip collet chuck, with internal finger clamps as a solution. The collet was designed with no pull back, allowing the finger clamps to pull the part down onto a fixed locator, providing for minimal distortion.

Aerospace Application for Horizontal Turning

In this application, the customer used a horizontal lathe to machine an aircraft rotor for 2nd operation. This double collet,I.D. Grip, also utlizes manual clamps for pull down, in order to meet stringent quality requirements.
